Position

The Workforce Development Specialist is a technology practitioner with strong instructional, facilitation and presentation skills. This contributing role will develop and deliver systems and content in support of MAXX Potential products and services.

In this role, you will be responsible for working with our product and talent teams to build, deploy and deliver career exploration, development and simulation solutions for clients and prospective apprentices. Responsibilities will also include sourcing candidates and developing long-term recruiting strategies to maintain a strong talent pipeline.

This role has a mix of client-facing and heads-down development. You are energized by the challenge of helping students and professionals “learn by doing” and delighting our clients with impactful experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and conduct interactive career workshop and simulation sessions for audiences ranging from students in middle school to adult career switchers
  • Collaborate with MAXX team members and clients to deliver sessions online, onsite or in hybrid models as required
  • Keep abreast of changes in industry and market trends and ensure comfort level with relevant subject matter, including but not limited to: cybersecurity, data and analytics, software development, hardware and networking.
  • Create, refresh and improve content on an ongoing basis especially in response to market demand
  • Standup and configure the systems required to deliver sessions
  • Coordinate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs
  • Assess candidate information, including resumes and contact details, using our Applicant Tracking System
  • Organize and attend job fairs and recruitment events
  • Foster long-term relationships with past applicants and potential candidates
  • Live & demonstrate the MAXX Potential values, including continuous self-improvement and life-long learning

Qualifications

  • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Customer service orientation and skills
  • Ability to “think on your feet” and reason through problems and propose solutions in real-time
  • Two or more years of work experience in a hands-on technical capacity
  • A year or more of continual content delivery in front of audiences (classroom, conference, workshop, etc.)
  • Ability to work with a diverse range of audiences from middle schools students to mid-life career switchers
  • Ability to constructively respond to feedback from direct reports, peers, and managers
