We are looking for a Technical Development Advisor to join our team and oversee the growth and development of Apprentices.

A Technical Development Advisor must be a mentor, eager to support their fellow team. You must be able to discover people’s strengths and weaknesses and help them find what works best for them. Having communication skills partnered with critical thinking are prerequisites for this job.

Ultimately, you will provide guidance, support, and encouragement harnessing your technical experience to support Apprentices as they kick start their careers in technology.


  • Develop effective job coaching and employment plans
  • Assist Apprentices to discover and overcome their personal barriers and set goals
  • Assess the strengths of individuals and teach them to use them effectively
  • Provide technical and professional mentorship to Apprentices on their journey
  • Deliver a mixture of face to face and online sessions with groups of Apprentices
  • Take full accountability for providing growth opportunities to Apprentices, getting to know their roles in detail and collaborating with their project leaders
  • Creating customized learning paths for industry-specific platforms and technologies
  • Iterate on our level up guidelines and interviewing process, maintaining consistent learning standards across various technical disciplines
  • Lead our Apprentice candidate selection process, identifying talented individuals capable of succeeding in our environment
  • Maintain accurate data within our custom ATS platform, keeping detailed records throughout an Apprentices lifetime at MAXX Potential
  • Lead production of Career Labs and other internal hiring focused events
  • Foster long-term relationships with past applicants and potential candidates
  • Live & demonstrate the MAXX Potential values, including continuous self-improvement and life-long learning


  • A passion for mentoring and belief in the “learn by doing” method of developing experience
  • Team player with a coaching mindset
  • Able to teach in remote settings
  • Ability to work with Apprentices of diverse backgrounds
  • Ability to constructively respond to feedback from direct reports, peers, and managers
  • Ability to “think on your feet” and reason through problems and propose solutions in real-time
  • Strong business acumen
  • Examples of successful technical project execution
  • Two or more years of work experience in a hands-on technical capacity
