Dr. Leaston is the Assistant Dean of the IT and Business/Entrepreneurship Pathways at Durham Tech Community College, with extensive experience in leveraging hybrid work models and technology infrastructure to support faculty, students, and staff. Drawing on over 15 years of expertise as an IT consultant and Network Engineer with various Fortune 500 companies throughout RTP, he has led efforts to ensure seamless access to IT services and resources, enabling a flexible and dynamic academic environment. His work focuses on how hybrid technology can foster collaboration, adaptability, and resilience within educational settings. With a deep commitment to evolving academic systems, Dr. Leaston’s insights on navigating change and supporting both faculty and students through technological innovation are further informed by his doctoral research on online learning and access for adult learners, positioning him as a thought leader in education’s digital transformation.
